Easy Baked Penne With Ricotta & Basil

  • 8 ounces penne
  • 10 ounces marinara sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Dash of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 3/4 cup Frigo® Part-Skim Ricotta Cheese

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350ºF.

In a large pot, cook the penne as directed on the package. Rinse with hot water and drain.

In a medium bowl, mix together the Frigo® Part-Skim Ricotta Cheese, basil and thyme.

Spray an 11x7-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.

In a large bowl, toss the cooked penne with the marinara sauce (reserving two tablespoons) until the pasta is coated evenly. Then spoon a thin layer of remaining sauce on the bottom of the baking dish and add a layer of pasta. Top with the Frigo® Part-Skim Ricotta Cheese mixture and remaining sauce. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
