Italian Cheese & Panko–Crusted Fish

  • 1 1/2 pounds whitefish filets (catfish, cod or tilapia)
  • 1/2 pint buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup Frigo® 3-Cheese Italian
  • 3/4 cup Italian style panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt and pepper

Directions

Preheat the oven to 450ºF.

Soak the filets in the buttermilk.

In a shallow bowl, combine the Frigo® 3-Cheese Italian, panko, salt and pepper and mix well.

Remove each filet from the buttermilk and dredge it in the cheese mixture, pressing to adhere the coating.

Place the filets on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Then, sprinkle each filet with some of the remaining cheese breadcrumb mixture.

Bake 9–12 minutes or until the coating is golden and the fish are fully cooked.
